New Place!

Well we got to move the horses to some pasture about a week ago and they are very happy!
The place they are at now is were they will be at probably forever because were moving there! Yay Yay Yay! We are going to build a house on the plot of land. We have 9.35 acres and we finally got a section fenced in for the horses which  is just about 1/3 of it so they are very happy to have a lot of grass to eat. I am also very happy because this makes feeding time short and easy. shhhh....... don't tell them I said that. But I do miss them!

This is my all time favorite picture of my horse Heidi! She looks like the alpha mare in this picture but she isn't anymore she was though.Heidi is 20 now she turned twenty a few weeks ago but shelost being the alpha a few years ago i'm not sure who the alpha is now. But anyway isn't this picture cool it had just gotten done raining notlong before we got there so I love the foggy dark look is this picture.

Well this is my Favorite picture to it's of Dixie, Heidi's granddaughter! And in the background is Jenna her adopted sister kinda. lol I don't know why I love this picture so much i'm just so fascinated with horse muzzles there so cool lookin...

Chester the boy of the bunch. He's a gelding. In the background is our neighbors house and Heidi,Dixie, and Jenna photo bombing him! I love this horse I have never ridin him before my reason I don't know but I will try soon.

Oh ya just another picture of Dixie... My next favorite picture! Who am I kidding there all my Favorite picture but this one I could just get lost in those eyes forever!

Oh! The Ears that did it i'm in love! Horses are so photogenic it's crazy! Crazy I say...

My word what a cute pair! On the left Jenna and on the right Dixie. We adopted Jenna when she was a yearling and a few days later Dixie was born and they have been close to each other ever since then. I love these girls! In 2013 I broke Jenna.
Broke means ( training so the horse can be ridin )
She was the first horse I have broken and probably the calmest horse I will ever break! She took the saddle well and when I got on her it didn't faze her at all she just stood there but this summer we have to re-break her because I haven't been working with her. Also this summer we will break Dixie and she is a hard head like her momma! So wish me and my Dad luck we will need it.

From left to right. Princess, Heidi, and Chester!

Jenna B!

Dixie my girl what ya starin at...

Last one maybe........

Chester "Hey why are you takin my picture I didn't ask you too." Me "Well why are you so photogenic huh?" Chester "Well I can't help it it's a curse!"

Here is the chick now, now the chick has to stay in the incubator after hatching to keep warm and dry off just a few hours or until it's fluffy!!! Also it helps the other eggs to want to hatch its so cool I'll try to keep y'all updated!! Have a good evening!!!!

Incubating Chicken Eggs!

Hey, over the next six days I will be updating y'all on all the animals I have now! Today I'm talking about incubating chicken eggs. Right now at our farm that's what I'm doing. I'm incubating eight eggs not that all of them will hatch but I hope they will. They are supposed to hatch either on February 21-23! I'm so excited!
This Is my incubator!
I highly recommend this one I bought it from Tractor Supply Co. a year or two ago.
Here is a picture of all eight of my eggs. I had to take the picture through the glass because you shouldn't open the incubator unless your  turning the eggs, which you have to do if you don't have an automatic egg turner and I don't.
Here is a picture I took of one of the eggs before I put them in the incubator! This one is my favorite egg I love the white specks on its shell.
Here are a few tips you need to know if you want to incubate chickens!

• The temperature in the incubator has to stay at 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit.

• It only takes 21 days for the chicks to hatch after you put them in the incubator.

• You have to keep water in the incubator or the chicks will die because they need moisture. I didn't do that the first time I incubated chicks and they all didn't hatch I was so sad.

• You have to turn the eggs 2 to 3 times a day, if you don't have an automatic turner witch you can also buy at Tractor Supply Co.!

• 3 days before the eggs are supposed to hatch you have to put them on the screen so when the chicks start to peck to get out they can move around.

We'll thanks for reading, tommorow I will be talking about all of my chickens  outside and the parents to the eggs I'm incubating!

My chicken world!

Yum farm fresh eggs are always good to eat because there fresher than when u get them at the store! I have 4 full grown white leghorn hens, 2 windot roosters and 2 windot hens that are still chicks. Then yesterday I got 6 more pullets they are mixed breed. Chickens are a lot of work to raise but it's a lot of fun in the end!

Tip: If you already have a flock of birds and you are buying more remember to keep your new chicks alway from your flock for 30 days to prevent disease.

Here are my 6 new pullets that I bought yesterday.

Here are 2 of the white leghorn hens.

Here are 2 of my 4 windot chicks.
They are learning how to get on the roost!

Thankyou for reading have a Great Day!

Horses!

This is my new horse Blackjack he is a quarter horse gelding. He is going to be a great horse. I can not ride him yet because we're we got him he was not rode. He has been rode before. My dad is just going to get him back to it. He is herd bound witch means he does not like leaving his group of horses. But he will get better with some work!
This is Pebbles a quarter horse mare. She is just like Blackjack because we got them from the same place. She is a smaller horse than he is though. They are doing good with riding so soon I will be able to ride one of them. My dad works with horses right now he is working with a horse from we're we got these two at her name is Ellie she is a quarter horse paint mare!
We are not keeping her once my dad gets done training her she will go back to her owner. Thanks for reading have a great day!
